Diversity brings together people of different races, ethnicity, ages, education and many other cultural and background factors.
Inclusion is the enabling of such a diverse group to work together and to welcome and include every individual in the group.
Dr. Govine is well versed and experienced in the Diversity and Inclusion areas of Sexual Harassment, the AB 1825 regulations, employment discrimination and has worked as a consultant, facilitator, trainer, speaker and expert witness in these and other areas.
Diversity and Inclusion Case Study
Dr. Govine's diversity consulting experience has made her an invaluable asset to her clients. At Indiana State University, over a six-month period, she interviewed 123 people of diverse backgrounds from the campus and Terre Haute communities. Another 58 participated through focus groups.
She presented her findings recently to the University's Diversity Council members, faculty, staff and community members. For higher education institutions, excellence requires the integration of diversity, educational equality and equity into the campus culture.
