Dr. Govine has conducted co-mediations for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Los Angeles District Office, focusing on employment distrimination, for example, race, gender and age. She formerly provided mediation in a variety of areas for Small Claims Court, Van Nuys District, Van Nuys, California.
Dr. Govine's background as an expert witness, litigation consultant and investigtor in employment discrimination has sharpened her mediation skills. She has also participated in numerous mediation training workshops provided by the Los Angeles Superior Court and completed the Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Program at Pepperdine University School of Law.
In October 2001, Dr. Govine was selected by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Washington headquarters, to provide mediation in employment discrimination disputes throughout Southern California.
Additionally, Dr. Govine's extensive experience in and demand for mediating and litigation consulting include work with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington, DC; as a lead mediator for the Greater Los Angeles Federal Executive Board's Shared Mediator Team working with Social Security Administration employee-management dispute; Urban Leadership in Los Angeles; panel mediator with the National Mosten Mediation Center in Sherman Oaks, CA; panel member with WorkPlace Assocviates in Encino, CA; and as a participant in the Southern California Mediation Association's annual interactive conference at Pepperfine University School of Law in Malibu, CA.
