SEXUAL HARASSMENT ISSUES
As Executive Director and Public Program Coordinator of the Pasadena Commission on the Status of Women (1983 to 1990), Dr. Gerda Govine developed expertise in the area of sexual harassment counseling and trainings. She took leadership roles in the following crucial and sensitive areas:
  • Designed and facilitated sexual harassment training workshops and seminars for female and male employees.
  • Interviewed employees and prepared reports relating to internally filed formal and informal sexual harassment complaints.
  • Counseled and resolved sexual harassment issues between employees.
  • Wrote and maintained sexual harassment policies and procedures.
  • Represented the Commission at human resource and professional conventions and conferences around the country: Delivered keynote speeches, facilitated workshops and served as a panel participant.
