SEXUAL HARASSMENT ISSUES
As Executive Director and Public Program Coordinator of the Pasadena Commission on the Status of Women (1983 to 1990), Dr. Gerda Govine developed expertise in the area of sexual harassment counseling and trainings. She took leadership roles in the following crucial and sensitive areas:
Designed and facilitated sexual harassment training workshops and seminars for female and male employees. Interviewed employees and prepared reports relating to internally filed formal and informal sexual harassment complaints. Counseled and resolved sexual harassment issues between employees.	Wrote and maintained sexual harassment policies and procedures. Represented the Commission at human resource and professional conventions and conferences around the country: Delivered keynote speeches, facilitated workshops and served as a panel participant.
Additional client consulting and activities associated with sexual harassment, ethnic diversity and race discrimination include:
Litigation consultant to Attorney Joseph C. Hopkins during the resolution of a case involving sexual harassment: Yvonne Johnson v. County of Los Angeles, 1993 Expert witness to The Office of County Counsel, San Diego, during the resolution of a case involving sexual harassment: Noreen Crane v. County of San Diego, 1994. Producer and host of cable television and National Public Radio shows on sexual harassment and other gender issues.	Columnist and author of articles on sexual harassment for the Pasadena Journal newspaper and Business Life magazine. Designer of questionnaires and measurement tools, for a major organization, used to analyze data and make recommendations to resolve gender issues including sexual harassment in the workplace.
